![]() In addition to the USJ Super Nintendo World attraction, future locations are also being considered at other Universal Studios parks around the world. The government is reportedly planning to fully reopen to tourists in spring 2021. Universal Studios Japan is located in Osaka, Japan, and at the time of writing, Japan’s borders are closed to foreign tourists, though permanent foreign residents and business visitors from some countries are permitted to enter. The final area promises to include some pretty cool gamified elements, such as interactive attractions where visitors link their Power Up Bands to a mobile app to collect digital coins and unlock achievements. Even so, in October, a Mario-themed cafe and store opened inside USJ did open, separate from the Super Nintendo World area. Super Nintendo World was originally intended to open ahead of the 2020 Tokyo Olympics this summer, but this was postponed in response to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. Geraghty said the headsets will be sanitised after every use, along with other social distancing measures. “Guests will join their favourite characters immersed in augmented reality, steering their way through the Mushroom Kingdom, throwing shells at Koopalings, as they race to the finish.” He said that there will be win and lose states in the game, so victory is not guaranteed. As a video game franchise and the first official Nintendo Park in the world, this attraction park is unique in its category. “We will bring the story to life with Nintendo’s very compelling characters – Mario, Luigi and Princess Peach – and we will immerse our guests into the world of Nintendo with this augmented reality headset,” he said. Super Nintendo World is a thematic land opened in 2021 in Osaka’s Universal Studios Park and dedicated to Mario, the famous Italian plumber. He noted that this will be the first ever Mario Kart theme park ride. Speaking to the assembled media, Mario Kart: Koopa’s Challenge attraction executive producer Thomas Geraghty showed off the new headset and Power Up Band. We also walked through a Trophy Room where guests can pose for photos alongside artefacts inspired by the games, including familiar trophies and one bearing the USJ logo, as well as a handwritten note from Bowser laying down a karting challenge. Don't mind that it's heavy on cheese ("Friends are there through thick and thin”)." This lighthearted track served as a super lovable ode to sibling bonds. In a retrospective review, Flick's Billboard colleague Clover Hope wrote that "Brandy's relationship with her younger brother Ray J is well known. At all times, Brandy's sweet and girlishly soulful delivery is center stage – as is the song's wickedly infectious hook. This third single from sterling eponymous collection follows the jeep-pop vibe of " I Wanna Be Down" and " Baby", while also going for a slightly harder-edged groove in rambunctious remixed by Troy Taylor and Charles Farrar. In his review for Billboard, Larry Flick wrote: "Brandy's cachet as one of the freshest young talents to emerge in recent memory continues to increase. In a 2019 interview with Billboard, she disclosed that she had initially favored "Best Friend" to lead the Brandys album due to its personal lyrics and that she "had to be convinced that was the right first single, because loved "Best Friend" so much." She further told Complex: "I actually think that was the song that should’ve been the first single, because it was about my brother Ray J It was great to do a song about him, because he means everything to me. Crouch used an E-mu SP-1200 to sample the kick drums and snare drums on "Best Friend," and had Rashaan Patterson sing a scratch demo to the lead of the track. A lighthearted "jeep pop" ode to sibling bonds, Norwood dedicated the song to her younger brother Ray J who was initially supposed to appear on a duet version of the song. "Best Friend" was written by Keith Crouch and Glenn McKinney, while production was helmed by Crouch. Brandy performed the song on Soul Train (June 1995) and Showtime at the Apollo (October 1995).
